I started working for PSC June 2019 and as of now have been working their over three months. PSC offers private security for special events or businesses. I work at one of their mall locations thankfully not one of their busiest centers. People ask me all the time my job duties and how to apply. I address it by answering the easier question first; to apply they just need to go down to the security office and I direct them to where it is and ask the dispatcher for an application and fill it out. As for job duties its hard to explain in depth for people to really understand. My job is to prevent any possible liabilities for the mall. This means anything "unsafe" it is my job to deal with it for the most part. Obviously if their is a medical assist needed on the property we respond and assist best we can. Same if their is a retail theft or robbery and police get involved we are their to assist the police anyway we can to help serve justice.

Okay but that is only half of the job in my opinion; customer service is another aspect that is most important. The first thing people thing when they see Mall Security is that person represents the mall. So it is our responsibility to give our best customer service to everyone to maximize the business for the mall. Polite gestures go a long way for this and are more often than not recognized. I usually do it anyway not expected anything from it but I have heard people go to management or write good reviews about or mall's security. An old saying I go by a lot says "you do a good job they will tell 10 people, if you do a bad job they will tell 100 people.". And it is very true especially now with social media people will go straight to twitter and tweet about the poor customer service anywhere.
