I am 21 years old, born and raised in Lake County, Illinois. I received my high school diploma in May, Class of 2019. I graduated with a 3.8 GPA and pursued a Security Guard occupation in early June 2019. I have worked for a little over three years and Teamwork is one of the biggest requirements. In 2020, I was promoted to the direct Communications Dispatcher. In 2021, I was promoted to the Sergeant role which made me the Officer In Charge when a Supervisor wasn't on shift. In 2022, I was promoted again to the supervisor role. Hence, I have no short knowledge of how important teamwork is in every environment. Simply put people work better together than separately.

 

My experience with this goes all the way back to 2006 when I played my first Pee-Wee Baseball game. I can't say I had the same appreciation for my teammates then versus now. However, I did play Baseball for an additional six years after that, and each year I seemed to develop more and more appreciation for teamwork. I played for an additional four years in basketball (my personal favorite sport), Golf for two years, and ran track for one year. Needless to say, I have quite a variety and experience in teamwork.

 

I understand what it takes to follow orders and lead others to success. The importance of being able to motivate others around me and motivate myself at the same time. Teamwork had me realize how crucial it is to align others around me to work harder, cooperate, and be supportive of one another.
